Who we are

This policy explains how Fortune and Providence Ltd ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use our apps on iOS and Android, and when you contact us.

Fortune and Providence Ltd is the data controller. We are a company registered in Scotland (company number SC901342) with our registered office at 5 S Charlotte St, Edinburgh EH2 4AN.

Camera and recordings

Our motion capture app uses your devices' cameras to perform motion capture. Camera images are processed on your own devices. Recordings and capture results are stored locally on your devices and are not uploaded to us.

We only receive a recording if you choose to send one to us, for example by attaching it to a support email to help diagnose an issue.

Data we collect

Diagnostic data (optional)

If you turn on diagnostics in the app, we collect technical information to fix problems and improve the app. This can include the app version, device model, operating system version, performance measurements and error reports. It does not include camera images or recordings. Diagnostics are off unless you turn them on, and you can turn them off at any time in the app's settings.

Support requests

When you email us, we receive your email address, the content of your message and anything you attach, such as screen recordings or logs. We use this only to respond to your request.

App store analytics

Apple and Google may provide us with aggregated statistics, such as download numbers and crash rates, if you have agreed in your device settings to share analytics with app developers. This data is collected by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies and does not identify you to us.

We do not use advertising, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your personal data.

Legal basis

Under UK data protection law, we rely on:

Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes. We use service providers, such as our email provider, to operate our services. They process data only on our instructions. Some of these providers may store data outside the UK, in which case we rely on appropriate safeguards required by UK law.

How long we keep data

Your rights and deleting your data

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to provide it in a portable format. To make a request, email support@fortuneandprovidence.co.uk with the subject "Data request". We will respond within one month.

Recordings and capture results stored on your device can be deleted from within the app or by uninstalling the app.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change and will revise the "Last updated" date above.
